Brian May Red Special ( Ex - We will Rock you)

 

In 2010 I went to see the "We Will Rock You" show in London, and some days later I was browsing the net for general info about the show, I came across a section headed " Another one bites the dust" which appeard to be selling off Ex-show guitars !

 

I made a few calls and sure enough this was the case, however there were none available, I was told I would get a call when something came up, yeah right !

 

Then....some months later I get a call...an Ex show Red Special had become available, and Brian May's policy was that they could not be sold for more than RRP, I snapped it up straight away and then discovered that it would be signed by Brian May , plus the 2 show guitarists Laurie & Alan....very nice. To top it off, they actually had 2 available, and knowing a pal of mine was a massive Queen Fan, I called him and of course he said yes straight away, so double bonus.

 

As you can see from one of the pics, mine was tuned as a drop D, I believe  for Fat Bottom Girls !

 

I recently caught up with the manager of BMG at the B'ham guitar show, he said they no longer offered this service and ours were the last 2 of about 8 ever sold..
